My Story

Hi! I am May Sun, a Film Composer based in Taipei, Taiwan.

I started to play piano and double bass at a very young age and had classical music training during my entire childhood. However, strict training makes me seek freedom in music. So I escaped from classical to pop music. In my high school years, I won the best soundtrack in my high school drama contest. Since then, all my dream is to be a film composer. Unfortunately, there was no film scoring-related school in Taiwan at that time. Instead, I studied Nutrition at my college and became a registered dietitian after I graduated. I also have a master degree in science and work for many well-known international companies. After work for a few years, I couldn't stop my love to compose music. I realized composing is my true love. So I moved to LA to chase my life goal to be a film composer.

Now, I graduated from the Film Scoring program at UCLA. At the same time, I am looking for every possibility to collaborate with professional people.
